IRGC, symbol of defending the national values of Iran

Tehran (IP) - On the eve of Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps' (IRGC) Day, the Foundation for the Preservation of the Monuments and the Publication of the Sacred Defense Values, in a statement, called the IRGC role in the eight-year Sacred Defense as the symbol of defending the national values of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/Iran News: The statement, referring to the strategic initiative, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Late Imam Khomeini (RH) in the establishment of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, called IRGC, as a sacred institution, rising from the context of the revolution, as well as a manifestation of its unique and wondrous role-plays in various fields aimed at meeting the need of the Islamic country.

The statement also congratulated Imam Hussein (AS), the Third Shiite Imam of world's Shia Muslim, as well as the auspicious birthday anniversary of Imam Hossein's brother Abulfazl al-Abbas (AS) to the Iranian nation, as well as honoring the memory of the martyrs of the resistance, especially the late commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani.

Elsewhere, the statement has emphasized that the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has used the secure capacities for the authority and the cause of the Islamic Revolution while sparing no efforts, thanks to the valuable experience of the 41 years of constant confrontation with the enemies of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic establishments, under the auspices of the Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Tomorrow which is Saturday, March 28 and the third of Sha'ban according to the Islamic calendar, marks, the auspicious birth anniversary of Chief of the martyrs, Imam Hussein (PBUH), and is celebrated in Iran as the Day of the Guards Corps.
