The democratic presidential candidate has told the US President to ‘stay out of the Democratic primary’ and worry about the coronavirus after Donald Trump accused Democrats of running a coup against Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Iran PressAmerica: “President Trump, stay out of the Democratic primary. Why don't you do your job for a change as president? Stop lying. Stop running a corrupt administration. Pay attention to the American people, not just your own political aims,” Sanders said during an interview on CNN on Monday night.

“You know what, I really wish that the president of the United States, might kind of spend his time doing his job. Maybe just maybe, he might want to worry about the coronavirus, he might want to worry about the stock market. He might worry about the 500,000 people in this country who are homeless or the massive level of income and wealth inequality that exists,” the senator said, according to Daily Mail.

President Trump has repeatedly floated the idea that the Democratic primary was being rigged against Sanders and in favor of Joe Biden.

“They are staging a coup against Bernie!” Trump tweeted Monday afternoon directly before he emerged from the West Wing to leave for a planned evening rally in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Meanwhile, 6 people have died from novel coronavirus in the US as cases nationwide surge while more than 100 are reported as infected cases.
