Tehran (IP) - Brigadier-General Hossein Ashtari, the head of Iran's police said that no security problems have been reported so far at polling stations in all parts of Iran.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran Police Cheif, Brigadier-General Ashtari said: "The enemy cannot undermine the will of the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran and it is a sign of the people's passionate presence in the elections."

"Thank God, the elections are currently being conducted in security and calm situation, and this will certainly continue until the end of the elections process," he added.

The Police Commander said the security of polling stations has been carefully planned since a few months ago.

He said that about 200,000 police forces along with the Basij (Voluntary) forces and 100,000 police patrols were deployed around the country; all officials had good cooperation with the police, and we hope that this election will run completed safely. 205/104
