Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Iraqi Kurdistan Region's Prime Minister Masrour Barzani expressed concern on the revival of ISIS and its reactivation in Iraq and Afghanistan at a meeting on the sideline of a Munich security conference.

Iran PressEurope: Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on the sideline of a Munich Security Conference meeting on Sunday.

Zarif told reporters after the meeting: "During the meeting, in addition to our country's relations with the KRG, the two sides also discussed issues related to Iraq and Syria, as well as security and the fight against terrorism."

Iran's FM also exchanged views with his Slovenian counterpart on ways to expand cooperation between the two countries, developments on the JCPOA as well as issues related to regional security.

Meeting with the Foreign Minister of Kuwait was another program of today's head of diplomacy. During the meeting, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Kuwait also discussed issues related to bilateral relations, regional security and relations with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, as well as developments in Yemen.

Today, Mohammad Javad Zarif also held talks with the Polish Foreign Minister on a number of issues, including the JCPOA, Europe's commitments to the JCPOA and Iran's actions in this context, as well as regional security. 104/207
