Mashhad (IP) - Tens of thousands of Iranians poured into the streets of Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi Province, northeast of Iran to celebrate the 41st anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Iran PressIran News: Waving Iranian flags and chanting "Down with America", people of Mashhad renewed their allegiance with the founder of the Islamic Republic, the late Imam Khomeini and Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Iran Press reported.

The 41st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is celebrated on 22 Bahman (11 February). It commemorates the protests that led to the downfall of the Pahlavi dynasty and the triumph of the Islamic Revolutionary headed by the late Imam Khomeini (may God bless his soul). 212/211/104
