Tehran (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister, in a phone call with its Chinese counterpart, discussed the latest efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.

Iran PressIran news: In a telephone conversation on Monday evening, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Wang Yi talked about the latest developments concerning the outbreak of Coronavirus in China and other issues of mutual interest.

Zarif praised the Chinese government for its responsibility and efforts to control the crisis and prevent the spread of the virus and voiced his opposition to the politicization of such issues.

Iran's Foreign Minister also lauded the Chinese government for its cooperation in bringing back the Iranian nationals from Wuhan city.

Chinese Foreign Minister, for his part, expressed his gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its stances and support.

361 people have died in China form the Coronavirus outbreak. Confirmed infections in China are 17,238. Outside of China, infections stand at more than 150.
