Tehran (IP) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani urged various governmental sectors of Iran's Sistan and Baluchestan province to mobilize equipment for helping the flood-hit people of the province.

Iran Press/Iran News: In a phone conversation on Monday with Governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, Ahmad Ali Mohebati, Rouhani received reports on the latest situation on the ground. 

Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also in a twitter message said that "Our focus will be on restoring livelihoods and Our thoughts and prayers are with our affected compatriots in flooded areas", Iran Press reported.

"Unprecedented floods are ravaging Iran's Sistan & Baluchistan province, with significant human & material costs," he wrote on his twitter page.

Heavy rainfall in the past week in Sistan-Baluchestan Province has caused devastating flooding across the southern Iranian province.

Iran’s First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri on Monday ordered aid organizations to mobilize all facilities to render services to flood-stricken people in the country’s south.
