Qom (IP) - The seminaries gathered in the Great Mosque (Masjed A'azam) of Qom, south to Tehran, to condemn America's criminal assassination of Lieutenant-General Qasem Soleimani, the late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC).

Iran Press/Iran news: Attended by Tehran's interim Friday Prayer Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ahmad Khatami and the head of Iran's seminary schools Ayatollah Alireza A'arafi as well as other grand sources of emulation (Marjas), the clerics' gathering was held on Saturday to express their message of condolence to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution following the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Soleimani, and to vow to continue the path of the legendary General.

Ayatollah Khatami stressed that the resistance movement in the region will continue to go from strength to strength, from Iraq to Yemen.

Qom's seminary schools were closed on Saturday following the announcement of three days of national mourning for the beloved martyred IRGC Lieutenant General.

Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the head of the IRGC's elite Quds Force, and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), were martyred in a US airstrike targeting their cars at Baghdad International Airport in the early hours of Friday morning.
