Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami

Brigadier General Amir Hatami stated that Iran would not ask permission to strengthen its missile and defense capabilities.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami attended a military academy in Tehran on Monday, stressing that "Iran is on its way achieving dignity and honor and it will not fail to get national and defensive power."

Describing Iran's strategic place in the region and the world, Brigadier General Hatami added, "The Islamic Republic of Iran has always stood against any hegemony by emphasizing its fundamental principles and strategic policy," Iran Press reported.

He added, "With the help of people and armed forces of Iraq and Syria, the plots and conspiracies of enemies of Islam have failed."
