The interim Friday Prayer leader of Tehran said December 30, 2009, was a turning point in the history of Iran.

Iran Press/Iran News: Hojjat-ol-Islam Kazem Seddighi said, "December 30 reminds us of the march of millions of people in Iran in 2009 to condemn the rioters and troublemakers of society and resolute response to the seditious elements who had taken the wrong path under the pretext of fraud in the tenth presidential election."

The large-scale rallies on the 9th of the Iranian month of Dey in 2009 were held across Iran to denounce the continuous riots that erupted in Tehran and some other Iranian cities following the announcement of the 2009 presidential elections.

Seddighi added that the Iranian people, with their insight and intuition, thwarted the enemy's plans, saying: "Enemies always try to create sedition and seek every opportunity to deter the Iranian nation from their independence, stability, and progress."

"Like forty years ago, the Iranian people have thwarted the evil plans of their enemies," he said.

Noting that enemies are always trying to create sedition, he said, enemies seek every opportunity to deter the Iranian nation from their independence, stability, and progress.

He emphasized: Iranian people like the last 40 years with their vigilance and neutralize the evil plans of enemies.

Chanting slogans, Tehrani worshipers denounced the plots and conspiracies, emphasizing resistance until the defeat of the enemy's plots.   205/211
