Tehran (IP) - Senior Adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on International Affairs has said according to religious leaders, cultural activities should be conducted on the basis of research.

Iran PressIran news: Senior Adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on International Affairs Ali Akbar Velayati made the remarks on Monday in a ceremony on the occasion of the 'Research Week' at the Islamic Culture and Communications Organization, saying that according to religious leaders, the cultural activities should be conducted on the basis of research.

Velayati unveiled the newly published works and the logo of the National Research Award in Foreign Relations at a joint ceremony organized by the Islamic Culture and Communications Organization and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the occasion of the research week.

President of the Board of Trustees and Founder of Islamic Azad University praised the efforts of President of the Organization for Islamic Culture and Communications Ebrahimi Torkaman and the organizers of the event, adding: "Research, according to the Holy Qur'an, has special importance."

"In the past, our religious leaders have conducted research, and we believe that cultural activities should be conducted on the basis of research," Velayati stressed.
