The World Health Organization appreciates Iranian development in public health

The World Health Organization's envoy to the Islamic Republic of Iran appreciated the country's 4-decade commitment to reach public health coverage.

Iran PressIran news: In a message on the occasion of the International Day of 'Public Health coverage' on Monday, Christoph Hamelmann said that Iran enjoys a high capacity in covering public health and medical emergencies.   

The World Health Organization's envoy to Iran stressed the expansion of bilateral ties between the country and the organization.

Hamelmann also referred to the US sanctions against the Iranian nation and asserted that the sanctions threaten the people's health and the country's health system. 207/219
