Syria's Housing Minister met with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister on Monday and discussed issues relating to Syria's reconstruction, particularly road and housing construction.

Iran PressIran news: The meeting took place on Monday between Suhail Mohammad Abdul-Latif Syria's Minister of Public Services and Housing, and GholamReza Ansari, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister in charge of Economic Diplomacy.

The two men discussed the role of the private sector in Syria's reconstruction and agreed that more needed to be done to encourage the private sector to have a bigger role in the reconstruction process.

The two ministers also discussed the setting up of a joint Iran-Syria Committee for Housing and Urban Development.

Ansari and Abdul-Latif also discussed cooperation between Iranian and Syrian companies in the construction sector, particularly the implementation of joint projects in housing, road construction, and infrastructure development.
