Tehran (IP) - The Head of IRIB World Service said that the changes in technical aspects of media have changed people's approach toward events.

Iran Press/ Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Monday and on the sidelines of the 16th Iran Media Technology Exhibition and Conference (IMTEC) in Tehran, Peyman Jebelli said that the technical aspect of media is one of the most significant ones in any development of the professional media function, because the technological development has made big changes in the approaches of people toward media and societies.

"We see that technological basics of professional function of media have changed the public opinion about media; for example, the change of the movement to new media like social media has changed approaches toward events, because it has provided a very big aspect for the understanding the events that are going around the people in the society."

Jebelli said that he did not think of the technical aspect of media just as the hardware but in a very close relationship with the software of the media.

He said: "The symposium is a good opportunity to see how the development is going on in the technological aspect and expressed hope that IRIB world service media either TV or radio could use developments in the traditional technical aspect like broadcasting and new aspects like social media or any internet-based media."

The 16th Iran Media Technology Exhibition and Conference (IMTEC) was held at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) International conference hall in Tehran. 104/207
