Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met with his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Cavu?o?lu on Saturday in the Turkish resort of Antalya.

Iran Press/AsiaZarif who is currently in Turkey to attend the 24th meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization’s (ECO) Foreign Ministers in Antalya, Turkey met with Cavusoglu on the sideline of the regional meeting, Iran Press reported.

The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, the latest developments of Syria, Iran and the region.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu will chair the 24th ECO Council of Ministers Meeting and will work to transform the inter-governmental regional platform into a more effective, result and project-oriented organization, according to a ministry statement.

The Council of Ministers is the highest policy and decision-making body of ECO and meets in regular, informal and extraordinary sessions.

Afghanistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Islamic Republic of Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan make up the Economic Cooperation Organization’s (ECO).
