President Rouhani in meeting with the 'Head of the Caucasian Muslim Office' said enemies should not be allowed to make division among Muslims.

 Iran Press/Asia:Hassan Rouhani on Thursday evening met with Allahshükür Pashazadeh, expressed satisfaction with his report on strengthening religious foundations, stated, "The fight against oppression, extremism, and terrorism is the duty of all divine religions, including Muslims and increasingly, the compassionate face of Islam should be manifested to the world.

The Iranian President also considered the increase in the commute of the people of the two countries as a valuable step towards expanding relations and closer ties between the two nations of Iran and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In the course of the meeting, the head of the Caucasian Muslim Office presented a report on the situation of the region and Azerbaijan, also considered the expansion of Tehran-Baku relations in favor of both countries and the region.

Referring to the growing interest in religion in the region, Allahshükür Pashazadeh went on to say, "Religion is now at the core of the unity of the people in the region and Azerbaijan and we are witnessing exponentially people coming to mosques and this year the people of Azerbaijan widely welcomed Arbaeen.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran arrived in Baku on Thursday at the official invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

Rouhani traveled to the country to attend the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement's heads of states. He will address the summit and explaining the positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran on important regional and international issues,

The President had a bilateral meeting with the President of Azerbaijan, where he discussed the most important issues in the Tehran-Baku relations and the process of implementation of the agreements and joint projects were reviewed.

On the sideline of the NAM summit, the president is scheduled to meet separately with some of the leaders at the summit to discuss the most important issues of mutual interest, regional and international.

The president will return to Tehran on Friday evening.
