Iran's Minister of Health and Medical Education said that the 66th summit of the World Health Organization's Eastern Mediterranean Office held in the country showed that the US failed to cut off Iran's interaction with the world.

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Wednesday, the Iranian Health minister Saeed Namaki said that the summit was considered as one of the most successful meetings in the region.

The official highlighted Iran's health network system's high efficiency, referring to the World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus who praised Iran's healthcare system not only as of the pioneer of the region but also a pioneer of numerous projects in the world.

The 66th Session of the WHO Regional Committee for the Eastern Mediterranean was held on Tuesday, October 15 at Iran International Conference Centre in Tehran.

Health Ministers and high-level representatives from the 22 countries and territories of the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region took part in the 66th edition of the Session ended on 17 October.
