Iran's Sinopa oil tanker is said to have been hit by an explosion in a terrorist attack.

Iran Press/ Middle East: An Iranian oil tanker has been hit by an explosion and fire in the Red Sea in an 'terrorist attack', according to reports.

The blast was on board a ship said to belong to the National Iranian Oil Company; 60 miles west of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, reported Iran press.

There was an oil spill after the explosion hit two main tanks and heavily damaged the SANITY tanker. Initial reports out of Iran claim it was a possible terrorist act. The reports did not cite any evidence to support the claim.
