Tehran (IP)- Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts said that good news on the return of some historical items is coming.

Iran Press / Iran News: In a meeting held at the ministry on Tuesday, Ali Asghar Mounesan said: "People-oriented ??cultural heritage and tourism is one of the best measures that has started two years ago."

He added: "On the eco-tourism area, there is a good set of measures, eco-lodges has made the reverse migration from the cities to the rural areas and this has created employment and income in these areas."

The minister also stated: "We have done a great job in the field of handicrafts, we have registered cities and villages globally, and we are currently ranked ahead of China." 

The minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts reiterated: "An action plan will also be developed in cooperation with the World Tourism Organization, and the approval of the country's comprehensive tourism document."

The minister further went on to say: "We have very good interactions in the international arena and cultural diplomacy has led us to hold exhibitions with some European countries. Also, last week we saw the Achaemenid tablets entering the country, which was a very valuable event. In this regard, we have good news that will be announced at the right time."

"In Iran, we have one million historical sites, which 35,000 of them have been registered in Iran and 24 of them have already been registered in UNESCO's list of World Heritage", the Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and handicrafts highlighted.
