Iran Press/ Iran News: The managing director of the Mobarakeh Steel Co. in Isfahan, Seyyed Rasoul Mousavi in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the Chabahar Steel Exhibition, in southeast Iran said: "Mobarakeh Steel Company can produce as much as 12 million tonnes of sponge iron per year".
"As the largest steel producer in Iran and the Middle East, with a production capacity of 9 million tonnes of steel, the company will supply 50 percent of Iran's demand", the managing director noted.
Mousavi added: "65% of our exports go to European countries, and exports to the Persian Gulf countries come in second."
The Chabahar Steel Exhibition ended on Sunday and was attended by the largest Iranian steel companies. Iranian steel giants Chadarmelo, Golhar and Mobarakeh Steel and their 23 affiliated companies showcased their latest achievements at the Chabahar Steel Expo.
