Mazandaran Gov and Iranian ambassador to Russia

Mazandaran Governor Ahmad Hosseinzadeh in a meeting with Iran's ambassador to Russia, Mehdi Sanaei called for launching an international terminal in Russia for export of agricultural products of Mazandaran.

Iran Press /Iran News: Ahmad Hosseinzadegan as head of an economic and business delegation,  in Volgograd at the weekend, said," 70% of the Mazandaran economy is based on agriculture and with proper planning and removing structural barriers, we can get private sector's confident to get maximum investment and export expansion,"

According to the report by Iran Press, referring to Volgograd as a gate for Mazandaran agricultural products to Russia and the EU, the Governor pointed out, "During the trip, I have pursued launching of a logistic center and international terminal to export agricultural products of Mazandaran to a Russian southern port."

For this matter, he demanded the presence and investment of the Russian investors in the Northern Province of Mazandaran and the connection Between Mazandaran and Volgograd in Southwest Russia.

Referring to the consultations and planning for Iran's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the governor of Mazandaran said, economic relations with Eurasian members would increase the export and economic prosperity of the country and the province of Mazandaran.

The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow also stated that provincial cooperation is one of the economic priorities of the embassy.

He added, " Given that two sides' capabilities, the Russian side has the interest to be active in Mazandaran".

Statistics show that Volgograd has had 63 million dollars of trade exchanges with Iran last year.

Volgograd is a large city across the west bank of the Volga River in Southern Russia. 205/219
