Iran President condole with families of Zahedan-Tehran train accident

Iranian President expresses condolences to the bereaved families of Zahedan-Tehran train accident.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's President Hassan Rouhani expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the train derailing accident and called on ministries of health and interior to mobilize all facilities for the swift recovery of the injured.

"All relief agencies must mobilize their facilities for treating the injured/ Roads Ministry must look into the issue carefully," Rouhani said according to the official website of the President.

President Hassan Rouhani's message is as follows:

Dear Dr Jahangiri,

Honourable First Vice-President,

The derailing of Zahedan-Tehran train, which has left a number of our fellow countrymen dead and injured, caused great concern and sorrow.

It is essential for relief and provincial agencies, especially the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and Ministry of Interior, to mobilize all their facilities for the swift recovery of the injured.

It is also necessary that the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development examine the reasons carefully and carry out the necessary measures for preventing such incidents from happening again in the future.

I hereby offer my condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives and wish swift recovery for the injured.

President Rouhani met with world leaders and heads of states on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York on Wednesday. 

He will leave New York Thursday evening after a press conference.

Five passengers were killed and 35 were injured on Wednesday when the Zahedan-Tehran train derailed in the southeastern province of Iran.
