Tehran (IP) -One of Iran’s latest military defensive achievements, a new artillery system called ‘Hael’ was unveiled in the parades marking the first day of the Sacred Defence Week. 

Iran Press/Iran news: ‘Hael’, a domestically-manufactured artillery system, was unveiled in the parades for the first time at  Imam Khomeini's mausoleum in south of Tehran on Sunday.

This new artillery system can identify targets without wave propagation; Hence it can operate without being seen.

Fast mobilization is one of the other special aspects of ‘Hael’, which has been designed to confront low-altitude targets like cruise missiles, intruder drones, and small aircraft.

A domestically-manufactured unmanned combat aerial vehicle named Kaman-12 was also showcased in the parade.

The homegrown Kowthar fighter jet, a domestically-developed jet fighter that features an advanced integrated architecture and fire control avionics was the other military achievement that was put on display during the parades.

The domestically-built air defence missile system 'Bavar-373' was also showcased during the parades in Tehran. Bavar-373 is a mobile surface-to-air missile system. It uses a long-range, phased-array fire control radar, dubbed Meraj 4, which can detect 300 air targets simultaneously.

Various divisions of Iran’s Armed Forces staged an annual military parade on the 1st day of the Sacred Defense Week, which marks the 39th anniversary of the eight-year Ba'athist Iraqi imposed war on Iran.

National Sacred Defense Week that starts in Iran as of Shahrivar 31 (according to the Iranian calendar year) falling on September 22, marks invasion of the Iraqi Ba'ath regime on Iran in 1980 when an eight-year imposed war began against Iran by the Iraqi former dictator Saddam Hussein who was later executed on 30 December 2006.
