Iran's top military who has visited China met with Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission and discussed ways to deepen bilateral defense cooperation.

Iran Press/Asia: The Joint Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, met with Chinese Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xu Qiliang, in Beijing on Wednesday and the two sides discussed developments in the region, deepening bilateral defense ties and expanding cooperation.

Commander Bagheri, who arrived in Beijing in response to an official invitation from his Chinese counterpart, also met with General Li Zuocheng, the chief of staff of the Chinese Army, Iran Press reported.

Iranian commander is also supposed to visit China's industrial centres, to deliver a speech for scientific and military elites in China's National Defence University and establish Iran-China joint military commission.

A number of expert meetings between the two countries were also held on Wednesday with the presence of members of the high-ranking delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in China. 101/211/216
