Tehran (IP) - Senior adviser to Iran's Leader in a meeting with China's new ambassador emphasized on the developing of cooperation between the two countries.

Iran Press/ Iran news: Senior adviser to Iran's Leader Ali Akbar Velayati and China's new ambassador to Iran, Chung Hua held a meeting on Monday in Tehran.

According to the Iran Press, the two sides in this meeting stressed on enhancing the cooperation between the two countries.

Wishing a successful mission for the new ambassador of China, Senior adviser to Iran's Leader in international affairs stressed on the efforts to consolidate and develop of bilateral ties between Tehran and Beijing and said: "the two countries enjoy much historical cooperation and among the strategic partnership between them is foreign policy independence, resistance against the US' expansionism and also opposition to the intervention of Western countries in the internal affairs of other countries."

China's new ambassador to Iran expressed his satisfaction from the meeting and said: "Iran is one of the main countries that cooperate with China on the 'Silk Road' project and china hopes that the relations between the two countries will be consolidated."
