Khuzestan (IP) - Iran’s Consulate General in Iraq’s southern city of Basra, south of Iraq described the relationship between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq as strategic.

Iran Press/ Iran news:Iran's consulate general in Iraq’s southern city of Basra, Ahmad Siahpoosh said that given the friendly relations between Iran and Iraq, the two country's effort to abolish visa between the two countries have been fruitful.

In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Siahpoosh said: "Iran issues some7,000 pilgrimage visas for Iraqi citizens on a daily basis."

He added: " The issuance of this number of visas has led to increasing of the Iraqi pilgrim's travel to Iran to visit the holy shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH), the eighth Shia Imam."
