At least 23 people, including two soldiers, have been swept away in a flash flood caused by torrential rains in Neelum Valley of Pakistan.

Iran Press/Asia: Pakistan State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) said that the flood has also destroyed several houses, shops, and mosques. The locals have been directed to move to safe places.

The telecommunication network was also disrupted due to the flood while internet services were also suspended.

The district administration has launched an operation to rescue the victims from the affected area.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain-thundershowers with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Kashmir, Islamabad, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore divisions.

It further forecasted humid weather elsewhere in the country.
