Tabriz (IP) -Turkish envoy to Iran told Iran Press correspondent on Sunday that bilateral relations between Iran and Turkey are ‘historic’ and ‘age-old’.

Iran Press/Iran news: Turkish ambassador to Iran, Derya Ors in an exclusive interview with Iran Press in North Western city of Tabriz called bilateral relations between Iran and Turkey as ‘historic’ and ‘age-old’.

While stating the fact that Iran has always been home to Turkish speaking tribes and clans and also the point that the emerging bilingual culture has played important role in the coexistence of the Iranian and Turkish nations, Ors highlighted that the Persian language was of special importance in Ottoman empire.

Turkish top diplomat went on to conclude that the countries also enjoy good cultural relations which should develop more than ever before.

Furthermore, on the same day, Turkish ambassador to Iran, Derya Ors said that US sanctions against Iran have affected Iran-Turkey trade. Ors continued to say that the two sides should pull together to solve the upcoming problems for the two countries so that bilateral relations will be developed. Ors’ comments were made in a meeting with Iran’s head of Chamber of Commerce, Younes Jaele.103/203
