Iran Press/ Iran News: In his meeting with the Turkish ambassador to Tehran, Derya Ors on Wednesday night, Amirabdollahian referred to the deep ties between the two sides, which are historical, religious and cultural in nature and stressed that the Islamic Parliament of Iran welcomes boosting ties and cooperation with Turkey as much as possible.
Amirabdollahian also called the relations between Iran and Turkey excellent in regional and international relations adding: "Iranian physicians and medical staff are ready to share their experiences with Turkey in fighting against the novel corona disease."
During the meeting, the Turkish Ambassador to Tehran expressed his happiness over the expansion of relations between the two countries saying: "Turkey-Iran relations have always been established for many years and based on good neighborliness and cultural, religious and historical relations."
Darya Ors also called for strengthening bilateral interactions in the face of the global and regional crisis in the fight against the coronavirus and stressed the importance of exchanging experiences between Iranian and Turkish medical staff.
Turkey confirmed on Wednesday that another 115 people had died after contracting the coronavirus, bringing the country's total loss of lives due to the pandemic to 1,518.
