Iran Press/ Iran news: The Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Forces, Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari held a presser live on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.
Part of the commander's presser dealt with Iran's retaliatory attack on Israeli targets late on Saturday which was in response to the regime’s strike on the Iranian consulate in Syria earlier in April, as a result of which 7 Iranian military advisors including two senior commanders were martyred.
Kioumars Heydari noted: "Our armed forces proved that the Zionist regime is weaker than what we have imagined.
The Zionist regime, despite its exaggerations, does not have such defense equipment and has many weaknesses, he stressed.
He noted that the country's defense industry continues to produce weapons and keep self-sufficient, looking to upgrade the equipment through such technologies as artificial intelligence, networking, and precision-guided capabilities.
He reiterated that the operation was in response to the Israeli regime's strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus and stressed that Iran is in full readiness to give a tougher response in case the regime dare to repeat the mistake.
