Hormozgan (IP) - The Chief Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) it is the Islamic Republic's strategy that wherever it has national interests, it must be capable of defending the interests.

Iran PressIran news: Major-General Hossein Salami said on Saturday that such strategies push Iran forward and are the main driver of the country to achieve a great sea power.

General Salami made the remarks while delivering a speech at the ceremony of joining 100 missile speed-boats and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis carrier to IRGC Navy in Bandar Abbas, southern Iran.

He noted that the equipment is totally homemade which is considered one of the power components of the Iranian nation.

General Salami said: "We cannot fight incompletely; we must fight completely, and therefore our strategic influence on the development of power becomes particularly important; our strategy is that wherever we have national interests, we must have the ability to defend vital resources, and this is a strategy beyond a doctrine."
