Iran Press/Sport: The announcement came after the Colombian Football Federation (FCF) reached an undisclosed settlement with the 67-year-old Portuguese, who still had two years left on his contract.
"The FCF and head coach Carlos Queiroz agreed that [he] would not continue to lead the Colombia men's national team," the entity said in a statement.
"It was an honor to have him for almost two years, in which he gave his utmost effort and shared his knowledge and experience. The contribution he leaves us will serve to continue the development of projects that are being carried out with all the national teams of our country," it added.
Queiroz, a former manager of Real Madrid, Iran, and Portugal, guided Colombia to nine wins, five draws, and four defeats after taking charge of the team in February 2019.
His tenure reached a nadir when the Cafeteros lost 3-0 at home to Uruguay on November 13 before crashing to a 6-1 defeat to Ecuador in Quito four days later.
