Iran Press/ Asia: Beijing considers Taiwan to be part of Chinese territory, and the United States has always incited Taiwan against the Chinese government by interfering in the island's affairs and providing financial and military support.
Such actions caused severe harm to the confidence between the armed forces of both countries, Chinese Defense Ministry Spokesman Wu Qian stressed.
"Over a long period of time, warplanes and warships of the US armed forces have been conducting frequent reconnaissance operations with regards to China, staging provocations, acts of intimidation and pressure," according to his statement published on the website of China's Defense Ministry.
"China is voicing a resolute protest over this," he noted.
According to the military official, such actions "caused serious harm to the mutual confidence between the armed forces of both countries" and threatened the safety of troops.
