Expressing deep concern over the growing tensions in West Asia, China once again demanded that all involved parties adopt a rational and responsible approach to prevent the escalation of disputes and the spread of conflicts.

Iran PressAsia: China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning in her regular presser on Thursday, in response to a question about the tensions in the West Asian region said that Beijing wants all parties to manage the current situation with coolness, rationality, and responsibility, taking into account the maintenance of peace and stability in the region.

"The international community, especially influential countries, should play a constructive role and prevent further escalation of conflicts," she added.

In response to a question about the military aid of 8.7 billion US dollars to the Israeli regime on the first anniversary of the 'Al-Aqsa Storm' operation, Mao emphasized: "During one year, Israel attacks on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the death of more than 42 thousand people, most of whom are women and children, the need to reduce tensions, establish a ceasefire, protect civilians and prevent a humanitarian crisis has become a global agreement."

The spokesman of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said: "Great powers should play their role by observing fair and objective principles and by following international laws, pave the way for an immediate ceasefire, control, and management of the situation and prevention of the spread of this crisis."

At least 42065 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli and settler attacks in the past year since October 7.
