The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, in response to the article of the president-elect of Iran regarding foreign policy and relations with Beijing, announced that China is willing to cooperate with the new government of the Islamic Republic of Iran to fulfill the comprehensive strategic partnership of the two countries for progress.

Iran PressAsia: China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson, Lin Jian, in his regular press conference on July 15, 2024, Referring to an article by Masoud Pezeshkian, Iranian president-elect, and his approach toward the foreign policy and traditional friendship between Iran and China said: "Beijing expresses its appreciation for the Pezeshkian's statements about China-Iran relations."

Pointing to the long history of friendly exchanges between Iran and China, Lin Jian said: "Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Iran and China, bilateral relations between them have maintained its healthy and stable development."

"Tehran and Beijing always supported each other and cooperated in the face of complicated regional and international circumstances," Lin said.

In an article published on Saturday in Iran's Tehran Times, Pezeshkian said Iran cherishes its traditional friendship with China and looks forward "to collaborating more extensively with Beijing as we advance towards a new global order."
