A group of British MPs on Monday once again called for an immediate halt to arms export licenses to Israel amid the extremely dire situation in the Gaza Strip.

Iran Press/Europe: British members of Parliament from all parties gathered outside Westminster next to a banner that read: "Stop arming Israel."

The protests came ahead of a debate in the British Parliament today on a call by more than 100,000 people for the immediate cancellation of arms export licenses to Israel.

As of Monday evening, more than 107,000 people have signed the petition.

This month, more than 60 members of the British House of Commons wrote a letter calling for comprehensive sanctions against the Israeli occupiers, given their repeated violations of international law in Gaza.

The letter from the British representatives was prepared after the Hague court last week decided to issue arrest warrants against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Minister of War Yoav Gallant on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli regime has launched a devastating war against the residents of the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in, in addition to massive destruction and deadly famine, the martyrdom and injury of more than thousands of Palestinians, most of whom are women and children. 219
