IP - British Foreign Minister David Lammy said on Tuesday that he had a conversation with Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri-Kani regarding a possible attack on the Zionist regime.

Iran Press/Europe: Lammy wrote on X social network (former Twitter): Further escalation of tensions in the Middle East is not in anyone's interest. I spoke with Ali Bagheri-Kani, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran.

He has continued to tell the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran that any attack by Iran will have devastating consequences for the region and that Iran and all parties must de-escalate immediately.

The British Foreign Minister's statements and request to Iran to exercise restraint and reduce tension were raised while the Western countries even refused to condemn the Zionist regime's action in martyring Ismail Haniyeh.

Iran’s Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri in a phone call with top Austrian diplomat Alexander Schallenberg has criticized some European governments for maintaining silence and their inaction on terrorist actions of the Zionist regime.

Bagheri Kani talked with Schallenberg on Tuesday night about the aggressive and terrorist acts of the Zionist regime that led to the martyrdom of the head of the Hamas political bureau in Tehran last week.

"Unfortunately, some European countries have remained silent on the terrorist actions of the Zionist regime in violation of international law, and this has caused the arrogance of the criminal gang ruling in Tel Aviv to intensify tension and insecurity in the region”, he said, while referring to the Israeli assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran in violation of Iran’s national sovereignty and security.

He added: The European side practically blocked all diplomatic channels by not condemning the clear terrorist aggression and along with the US, even preventing the UN Security Council from condemning the assassination of the Hamas chief as well as any effective and deterrent decision against the Zionist regime. 204
