Iran Press/Iran news: Ali Akbar Velayati, senior adviser to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in international affairs, Hojjat-ol-Islam Ali Shirazi Leader's representative to the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps–Quds Force (IRGC-QF) and others officials and scholars attended the ceremony, Iran Press reported.
One of the programs of the ceremony was showing a video clip produced by the title of the 'Notes of the Major General Qassem Soleimani on the Book of '40-year Revolution; Achievements and opportunities'', Iran Press reported.
Major General Qassem Soleimani is Quds Force Chief Commander of the Iranian Guard Corps (IRGC-QF).
A senior adviser to the Leader of the Islamic revolution in international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati addressing attendants said there is not enough discussion on Islamic revolution as much as it should be.
"Islamic revolution makes people accept Islam as their religion. The aim of the Islamic revolution was and is resisting occupation," he added.
Velayati noted the promotion of Islamic revolution abroad, saying: "The base of the Islamic revolution is resistance and the Islamic revolution with the passage of time will grow stronger relying on people's will."
Velayati commenting on the Islamic Revolution's impact on Palestinians and their resistance against Zionist occupation said: "One of the achievements of the Islamic revolution is returning religion to the Palestinian people and rejuvenating the feeling of revolution against the occupation."
Hojjat-ol-Islam Ali Shirazi, Iranian Leader's representative to the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps–Quds Force (IRGC-QF) for his part said: "The Islamic revolution is one of the biggest phenomena in the world with political, economic, cultural and defensive aspects, resulting in independence and many achievements."
He said: The Islamic Revolution resulted in freedom and independence of the Iranian people. To know the Islamic Revolution's magnificence, you must study and know the past. In this book ('40-year Revolution; Achievements and opportunities') three eternal, regional and global aspects of the Islamic Revolution have been explained. This book shows how the Islamic Revolution challenged and fought with communism, how it refreshes revolutionary belief among people and the national school of thought."
Hojjat-ol-Islam Ali Shirazi added: "This book in six chapters covers the history of Iran from past to present day, and tells about the achievements and opportunities the Revolution created for all Iranian nation in particular for the young generation which has not seen the despotic regime of the Shah and US-backed Iraqi Baathist regime's eight-year imposed war on Iran."
Hojjat-ol-Islam Shirazi at the end of his speech expressed his hope that Islam will govern people across the world. 101/205/211
