Marivan (IP) - Dare Tefi village, located in one of the districts of Marivan in Kurdistan, western Iran, is known as the Village of Storks.

Iran PressIran News: Situated next to the stunning Zarivar Lake in the border town of Marivan, the village is one of the tourist attractions in Kurdistan province, west of Iran.

Every year in the spring, this village hosts storks that stop here on their way to the tropical regions of Saudi Arabia and Jeddah.

These birds build nests on top of electric poles and oak trees in the village and create unique landscapes. This beautiful village is considered one of the sights of Marivan.

The residents of the village have been welcoming the migration of white storks to this area for years and taking care of these beautiful birds.

The white stork is one species of bird with social behavior, and Zarivar Lake and its surrounding villages are one of their important habitats.
