Iran Press/ Iran News: Major General Hossein Salami said the Basij and the people should cooperate closely to overcome the enemy's new war on Iran, a hybrid war.
"The enemy has waged an all-out war on the Iranian nation with all the means, including media, communication, politics, economy, information and psychology, organizing a hybrid war against the Iranian nation," General Salami stated.
He referred to the enemies' disparity in defeating the Iranian nation and called on all people, including Basij, to disappoint the enemies.
Commander Salami exampled the Sacred Defense against the US-backed 8-year war of Iraqi Saddam on Iran. It recalled that it was the active participation of the people through the Basij channel that helped the country oust the Ba'athist enemy.
General Salami made the comments on Monday, July 17, on the sidelines of his visit to the exhibition of Basij Islamic Quarters.
