Chhatra League activists and ordinary students staged a protest at the Dhaka University campus on Monday morning.
Thousands of students from Dhaka University, Dhaka College, Jagannath University, and other educational institutions of Dhaka participated in the demonstration and march demanding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The procession started from the Madhur canteen of the university circled the campus and gathered the Raju Bhaskarya statue of TSC.
The students of Dhaka University kept chanting slogans like Free Free Palestine-Stop Genocide, We Want Justice-Joy Joy Palestine, From the River to the Sea-Palestine Will Be Free, etc.
The students took part in the march holding flags, banners, and placards of Palestine and Bangladesh. Many students carried placards with pictures of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks.
After the Israeli massacre in Gaza on October 7 last year, this is the first time Bangladeshi students have demonstrated widely against Israel.
At the same time, in different countries of the world, including the United States, it declared solidarity with the students who are protesting for an independent Palestinian state. 204
