Nizhny Novgorod (IP): Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran upon his arrival in Nizhny Novgorod called Iran's membership in BRICS as a lasting legacy of the martyred Iranian president and foreign minister.

Iran PressEurope: Iran's Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs has traveled to Nizhny Novgorod, Russia to participate in the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting. According to Iran Press, the BRICS foreign ministers' meeting in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia is doubly important because of planning relations with countries interested in membership and cooperation.

The meeting of BRICS foreign ministers with the presence of Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri and the foreign ministers of 9 other BRICS countries, including Russia, Brazil, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, UAE and Saudi Arabia, will be held on Monday and Tuesday in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.

"Ali Bagheri", Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, told reporters on Sunday night upon his arrival in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia: "The meeting of BRICS foreign ministers is the first meeting at the level of foreign ministers after Iran joined BRICS."

Bagheri stated: "Iran has an active presence in the meeting of BRICS foreign ministers and also consults with different countries about bilateral, regional, and global issues in bilateral meetings on the sidelines of this meeting."

Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran added: "Iran's membership in BRICS is a lasting legacy of the martyred Iranian president and foreign minister." 204
