Iran Press/ Middle East: Ceremonies to mark the second anniversary of the martyrdom of General Soleimani, the late commander of the "Quds Forces" of the "Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps" (IRGC), and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis Deputy chief of Iraq Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units or PMU) are scheduled to take place in Iraq.
Lt. Gen. Soleimani and AThe two senior commanders of the Resistance Front played a crucial role in defeating the ISIS terrorist group in Iraq and Syria, were assassinated on January 3, 2020, in Baghdad by the US forces.
On the eve of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Gen. Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, commemoration ceremonies are being underway and scheduled for the next week.
The third day of January is the exact day of martyrdom of Lt. Gen. Soleimani, the late commander of the "Quds Forces" of the "Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps" (IRGC), and an official ceremony will be held at the Grand Mosalla mosque of Tehran, with the presence of officials from Iran and allied countries.

Martyr General Soleimani was martyred in a US airstrike at Baghdad's international airport, together with the deputy leader of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) Mohammed Ali Ebrahimi, also known as Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
Deputy Head of Iran's Judiciary for International Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, On Wedensday, December 22, said that an indictment against the perpetrators of the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and his companions would be issued by the end of the year.
