Iran Press/ Africa: "Imam Khomeini, may God favor him further, was a great man, great philosopher and great ideologist who committed himself to religious activities and became the founder and leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He created a movement within the society, came with different ideology which is different from the one the world known. He brought a new perspective of how to translate the holy Qur'an. The new perspective of views of tafsir and other things of understanding an extent of use and application of Islamic religion, to the extent that this led to the mobilization and revolutionization of individual within Iran," Professor Isa Hassan Mshelgaru said.
The university Professor also said when Iranians were revolutionized with this idea, Imam Khomeini shifted the Islamic religion from individualism to social domain and extended it to the level of Wilayat Faqih (Guardianship of the jurist).
Imam Khomeini had faced a lot of crises because as a revolutionary, he used peaceful revolution contrary to what other people have seen or known, that is confrontational resistance to beat and defeated tyranny and injustice in Iran at a time when the Shah Pahlavi was popular, making a great move with his white revolution to the extent that at the end, the Islamic Revolution was able to pushed and defeated the white revolution and the Shah as a whole," he added.
"The institution he created did not only ended in Iran, he extended it even beyond the boundaries of Iran more especially when he identified Palestine as an area or community of people that are the most oppressed in this world. And he made declaration of what is known as International Quds day. This is for the sympathy and solidarity to Palestine, which led us to what we are today as we are seeing what is going on in the Middle East or West Asia today."
When speaking on the role of the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei on the continuation of Imam Khomeini's revolution, the Islamic scholar said Ayatollah Khamenei is leading the revolution through the path and direction of Imam Khomeini.
"Imam Khomeini had already trained and groomed his followers, and among his followers we know currently is the present leader of the Islamic Revolution, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, who is now leading the revolution. He is leading the revolution in the path that Imam Khomeini put the revolution. Having being groomed very well and understood the value very well, and also understood the direction Imam Khomeini was going, he now moved up to the extent of putting or extending the scope of the work of Imam Khomeini and consolidate the work of Imam Khomeini particularly within and outside Iran."
In his efforts to pinpoint the fruits of Imam Khomeini's works which the world now benefits from, the Islamic scholar cited examples with Hezbollah resistance group in Lebanon, Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq, resistance in Syria and Hamas resistance fighters who are now currently humiliating Israeli regime in a war that exceeds 100 days.
"This is just an extension of the works of Imam Khomeini, which is now being extended and moved," he emphasized. 204
