Iran Press/ Iran News: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has formally endorsed Masoud Pezeshkian as Iran’s new president.
At a ceremony broadcast live on state television on Sunday, Ayatollah Khamenei gave his official approval for Pezeshkian, who emerged victorious in the second round of the presidential vote on July 5.
Expressing gratitude, Ayatollah Khamenei remarked, "We are grateful to God that the elections were conducted in the best way despite the atmosphere of sadness caused by the loss of the martyred president. This was an important test for the country. Thanks to Allah, this test was successfully completed and, inshallah, our beloved nation will taste its sweet result."
Addressing the new administration, Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized the importance of leveraging public capacity: "The esteemed government should work for the people, with the people, and among the people, utilizing the capabilities of the populace. Our country is a great nation, and among our people, there are countless individuals with ideas, innovation, experience, and new perspectives."
Additionally, Ayatollah Khamenei highlighted the importance of focusing on internal matters independently of external issues: "No domestic issue should be dependent on foreign matters."
He also condemned the actions of the Israeli regime in Gaza, stating, "The Zionist regime, through its acts of terror and crimes, has set a new benchmark in the history of human atrocities worldwide."
