IP - Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in his first meeting with the Syrian new government called for supporting Lebanon and the Lebanese people in the face of Israeli brutal aggressions.

Iran Press/West Asia: President Bashar al-Assad chaired an instructive meeting for the new cabinet after the Ministers took the constitutional oath of office.

Among the most important issues Bashar al-Assad stressed for the government, the Syrian President said: "The main title now these days must be how we can support our brothers in Lebanon in all fields and all sectors without hesitation in light of Israeli fierce attack on Lebanese territory."

At least 51 people have been killed and 223 wounded in Wednesday’s relentless attacks by the Zionist regime, according to the Lebanese health minister.

In Israeli attacks on Lebanon since September 23 after Pagers and Wireless communication devices were blasted by Israeli cyber and sabotage attacks, more than 570 people were killed including 50 children and 94 women. Also, more than 1,835 were injured.

Amid Hezbollah's barrage of rocket and missile attacks in defense of Lebanon, Israel said its military is preparing for a ground invasion of Lebanon's soil.

Israel faces global outcry for its massacres in Lebanon after more than 11 months of savages and brutal aggressions that killed 41,495 people and injured 96,006 people in Gaza.
