Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi arrived in Beijing on Saturday morning for political consultations with Chinese officials over the Iran nuclear deal.

Iran Press/Asia: Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi arrived in China's capital Beijing at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart for discussion and political consultations.

Araghchi was welcomed by Chinese officials and the Iranian ambassador to China Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh at the Beijing International Airport, Iran Press reported.

He will meet his Chinese counterpart to review issues of mutual interest and his meetings will be focused on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) as well as broadening of bilateral relations.

The Iranian diplomat is also scheduled to attend a session focused on ways of preserving the landmark 2015 nuclear agreement, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, on Sunday.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi said on Thursday that there is still hope to save Iran nuclear deal, but it depends on the Europeans' compliance with their commitments under the deal.

Iran has already paid its share and now the other parties should do the same, he told the Dutch newspaper 'NCR'.  101/211/205
