The Pakistani prime minister said his country should not join the US-led coalition in the Afghan war.

Iran PressAsia: Imran Khan, In an exclusive interview with RT on Thursday said that the US is blaming Pakistan unfairly for its own setbacks in Afghanistan, even after Islamabad incurred great losses after siding with Washington's War on Terror. 

The Pakistani premier went on to reveal that Pakistan had received a severe blow after joining the US in its global campaign against terrorism.

"We lost 70,000 people. We lost over $100 billion [from] the economy. And in the end, we were blamed for the Americans not succeeding in Afghanistan. I felt it was very unfair to Pakistan," he added.  

 

"The United States is seeking peace in Afghanistan!"

According to Al Jazeera, the US State Department spokesperson said the Washington still attempts to bring peace to the war-torn country and wants US troops out of Afghanistan.

Morgan Ortagus said, "we were a few steps away to reach an agreement with the Taliban, but their recent attack on Kabul was a big mistake which led the talks to stop."
