Iran Press/Iran news: "The EU and the UK, without presenting any evidence, have accused Iran of supplying ballistic missiles to Russia and imposed sanctions on our airlines and shipping," Abbass Araghchi wrote on his X account on Tuesday evening, criticizing the West's hypocritical behaviors toward human rights.
The embargo came after the EU and UK claimed that Iran provided Russia with ballistic missiles in the Ukrainian war.
Araghchi said: "At the same time, based on documents submitted to court, British media today reveals that the UK, fully aware that its arms and F-35 components are used by Israel in grave violations of international humanitarian law, continues to export these weapons."
Between October 7, when Israel’s war on Gaza began, and the end of May, the UK granted more than 100 export licences for the sale of weapons and military equipment to Israel, official figures show. The value of these deals has not been revealed, Al-Jazeera reported.
"The UK's justification? Maintaining ties with the US and NATO. This contradictory behavior exposes their double standards and abdication of responsibility toward human rights," he pointed out.
