Ardabil (IP) - The first meeting of e-TIR was held in Ardabil, northwest of Iran, with the attendance of Iran, Azerbaijan Republic, and Georgia's customs representatives.

Iran Press/Iran News: Director-General of International Cooperations of Iran's Customs Hossein Kakhaki said on Wednesday at the meeting that with the agreement reached between Iran, Azerbaijan Republic, and Georgia, the transit of goods will be done in the form of the electronic exchange of documents and information, which will add to the speed of transit of goods through the customs.

"Removing transit paper documents from the customs of Iran, Azerbaijan Republic, and Georgia will lead to a reduction in forging and misusing paper documents," he asserted.

At the troika summit in Ardebil, customs officials of Azerbaijan Republic and Georgia also in their parts emphasized the importance of the e-commerce plan and called for increased levels of customs cooperation with Iran.
